Islamic Foundation of Toronto Masjid Closure

November 21st, 2020 Assalamualikum respected brothers and sisters of the community, Please note effective Sunday November 22nd after salaatul Isha the Islamic Foundation of Toronto (IFT) will be shut down for a period of 28 days in line with the recent provincial order. The masjid will unfortunately be entirely closed and no prayers will take place. This tough decision was made in regards to the Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams’s strict appeal to the closure of all places of worship and faith settings. This wasn’t a decision that was made easily - it was however one that was necessary. We humbly request the congregation pray at home and remain safe and vigilant during these difficult times. IFT will continue to deliver essential services such as funerals and weddings with a max capacity of 10 people in compliance with the provincial order. In this trying time we find peace in turning our focus towards the remembrance of Allah Subhanahuwata’ala. Please check our website for updates. Jazakallah IFT Executive Management Team
